The Murga family of Madrid
The Murga family lived for about a century in a huge mansion called the Linares Palace in Spain. According to legend, the Marquis of Linares was a very cruel father who always grounded his daughter; this was because the poor girl, all alone in such a large house, became bored and cried often. One day she died inexplicably and ever since then, it is said that a little ghost roams the huge rooms of the palace...every now and then you can even hear noises similar to the crying of a little girl!

The Bean family of Edinburgh
Sawney Bean was an ogre from the Scottish countryside who worked as a gardener. He did not like his job very much so he suddenly decided to go and live in a cave on the seashore with his wife. Bean and his partner stayed in that cave for 25 years without ever going anywhere else: they survived by catching children who went for walks in the surrounding woods. From time to time a few children still disappear, but no one has yet managed to solve the mystery!

The Norton family of London
The Norton family was among the wealthiest of the Victorian era. They were the owners of a famous factory and loved hanging around the most fashionable clubs in London. Unfortunately, all the members of the family had a strange and bizarre appearance that had always made them very ashamed. So they created masks which they used to hide their faces when they went out into the city. Because of these funny and grotesque masks, the whole of London mocked them and so they ended up shutting themselves away from everyone. Many years later, their ghosts are said to amuse themselves by playing strange tricks on other families in revenge for the mockery they received.
