The final debate is in the books and it was lively. There can be little question, however, over who will be in better shape coming out of the debate. Trump cast this election in plain terms as a choice between the failed politician that is Joe Biden and President Trump—the man of action. Keep in mind that debates do not happen in a vacuum. They take place during the dynamic of a race. The current dynamic finds Trump gaining 8% in his Rasmussen approval rating in the last ten days. Gallup now finds that, on self-identification, 28% of Americans identify themselves as Republicans and 27% identify themselves as Democrats. Further, Gallup finds that 56% percent of Americans think they are better off under Trump than under Obama/Biden.
